… HOLYOKE – Easthampton Mayor Nicole LaChappelle offered the City Council’s Finance Committee a primer on school construction funding.

LaChappelle spoke Thursday about how Easthampton leveraged two debt exclusion or Proposition 2½ overrides to fund two public schools. Holyoke voters face a Nov. 5 Proposition 2 ½ override ballot question on whether to fund two public middle schools at an estimated $132 million.
